Privacy Policy

The short version

We collect the least we can: your email address so you can sign in and so we can send you account and access emails, the restart work you choose to save, and whether your lifetime access is active. Optional emails can be stopped at any time. We do not sell your data, we do not run advertising, and we do not use what you write to train anyone else’s AI models. You can delete everything at any time.

Who is responsible

What we collect and why

• Account details — your email address, your first name, your time zone, and your name and profile photo if you sign in with Google. Used to create and secure your account, to email you about your access, and to send onboarding and reminder emails you can stop at any time.
• Your restart content — the projects you name, the friction you identify, the next actions you write, your focus sessions and your reflections. Used only to give the service back to you across your devices.
• Progress data — session counts, streaks and achievement events, used to show your momentum view and, in aggregate, to understand how the tool is being used.
• Access and purchase status — whether you have lifetime access, and the record of your purchase. Payment card details are collected and stored by Stripe; we never receive them.
• Basic technical data — the requests your browser makes, kept briefly in server logs for security and troubleshooting.

Browsing the public pages signed out requires no account and collects no personal data.

Emails we send you

Once you have an account we use your email address in two ways. First, account and service emails: sign in and password reset, purchase receipts, and access notices. These are needed to run your account, so they continue while the account exists.

Second, optional emails: a welcome note when you join, gentle reminders to pick your restart back up if life has pulled you away, and notes about new features.

Every optional email carries an unsubscribe link at the bottom, and one tap stops them. Unsubscribing never affects your account or your saved work, and you will still receive essential account and billing emails. We do not sell or rent your email address, and we do not send third-party advertising.

Who we share with

Only the service providers needed to run the app: our hosting, database and authentication provider, our email delivery provider, and Stripe for payments. Each handles data on our instructions. We also disclose data if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Your account data and restart content are kept while your account exists. Delete a restart and it is removed immediately. Ask us to delete your account and we remove your personal data within 30 days, apart from billing records we are legally required to retain. Technical logs are kept for a short period only.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, or object to how we use it. Email us and we will respond. If you are in the EEA or UK you may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Cookies, local storage and notifications

We use only what the app needs: a sign-in session token, and timer state saved on your own device so a focus session survives a refresh. If you turn on the finish alert, your browser handles the sound and notification permission locally — we do not track your device beyond that. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Security and children

Data is encrypted in transit, and access to your rows is restricted to your own account at the database level, so only you can read your restarts. The service is not intended for children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date above and notify account holders by email about anything material.
